Uninstall these Chinese apps immediately: Defense Ministry to Indian armed forces

Now we are using so many Chinese apps. But Ministry of defence in India has issued a new order to the Indian armed force that uninstall over 42 chinses apps as these apps are classified in spyware. This list also include Mi store available in all Xiaomi smartphones. It includes WeChat which is popular chatting app from chine and ShareIt a popular file sharing app that popularly used in India too. This list is also including built-in app in most of new smartphones ‘Truecaller’.

The advisory says, "As per reliable inputs, a number of android/IOS apps developed by Chinese developers or having Chinese links are reportedly either spyware or other malicious ware. Use of these apps by our force personnel can be detrimental to data security having implications on the force and national security."

The order comes from intelligence agencies to all army personnel that they have to need uninstall these Chinese apps from their smartphones as they come with risk of spyware or malware.

As I mention early that Mi store is also include in this list the Xiaomi spokesperson said that, “We take security and privacy very seriously. Our global e-commerce platforms and user data for all international users is located on Amazon AWS data centres in California and Singapore. We are currently investigating the advisory and would like to assure Mi Fans that we are fully committed to storing and transferring our users’ data securely at all times.”

We are live in cyber world today. So many hacking websites have spread malware that affect your device. So, please stay safe at online search and search safe. Don’t download any unnecessary app from any untrusted website. May be next world war is online.
