WhatsApp is Testing 'Restricted Groups' Feature, Lets Admins Place Limits on Posting

Hello my friends, Welcome to Aky’s Technoworld, the coolest texture on the web.

Now a days all software tries to give us some amazing features. WhatsApp is also trying to give user some extra features. Now WhatsApp is trying a new ‘Restricted Group’ features which will more access to the group administration. According to WABetaInfo the messaging platform of WhatsApp has submitted the “Restricted Groups” setting via Google Play Beta programme in the version 2.17.430.

Essentially, this new features promises that it will give more power to the admin in group chat. According to the report group admin is free restricted any member of the group from sending Text SMS, Voice SMS, GIF, Videos and Photographs. If you will have restricted, you will use the ‘Message Admin’ Button to send SMS in group. You will able to send SMS to the admin of the group, admin will ultimately decide that your SMS will be shown other member of the group or reject it completely.

As we know that in WhatsApp Group we have more than one admin. The restricted group can be enable by any member which have administration authority within the group chat. This setting can be changed every 72 hours. So group members will be silent for only few hours in the group.

WABetaInfo, which tracks upcoming WhatsApp features wrote: “WhatsApp will prevent the group creator to be deleted from the group by other administrators. This will help the group creator to have the full control of the group. The administrators will be able to choose if other participants can modify the subject of the group, its icon and its description.”

This feature is currently supported in both Android and iOS, but WhatsApp currently WhatsApp has disable it on its server. So currently all members have no restriction in group chat.
